The BettiesExplore! Hiking Adventure takes place in June, in Tryon Creek State Park. Nine girls are carefully paired with adult female mentors. The intention is to forge a strong relationship between mentor and mentee, while they develop their outdoors skills together. As a group, the participants learn backcountry safety techniques and map / compass skills, and participate in team-building and goal-setting exercises. All of this is working toward the central mission of Betties360 – to build confidence and well being in young women through healthy activity and new challenges.
